Saya memang sentiasa mengikuti perkembangan bola sepak negara.
Tolong beri budak muda kita peluang menimba pengalaman demi masa depan bola sepak negara.

Suhardi dropped

VETERAN cyclist, Suhardi Hassan (pic) was dropped form the national team after Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) announced the squad for the 2010 Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) today.
With Suhardi sidelined from this year's LTdL, the national team will be spearheaded by young cyclist in the championship schedule to kick-off from Mac 1 to 7.
MNCF decided to give young blood to spearhead the challenge as part of their moves to expose them at higher level competition.
"They are our future heroes and we need to give them a chance to prove their worth. This is a long term plan for the young riders," said MNCF President, Abu Samah Wahab. Anyway...it's a brave move by MNCF.

'I want Thomas Cup'
SPORTS Minister, Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek wants the Thomas Cup. The Malaysian badminton team must deliver and there's no reason to fail.
That Ahmad Shabery's demand from the team during his 'spot check' to the national badminton team training camp in Bukit Kiara two days ago.
I love to hear the challenge thrown by the minister and the players should response well.
"We have world class players and this is the right time for us to lift the trophy. No reason to fail and we are the host," he said. The last time Malaysia lifted the trophy was in 1992 when Kuala Lumpur played host. "I want to see the players win the cup, that all I want.," he said.
If the badminton team failed to deliver, they are not responding to the minister's challenge.
Last year, Ahmad Shabery demanded the same thing from cyclist, Azizulhasni Awang as well as to our national football team.
I still remember when he told members of the media that he want to see Azizulhasni become the world champion one day. Azizulhasni took the challenge and within six month, the Terengganu born cyclist did it in a great fashion. He strived hard to take the challenge and in the end, stamped his mark at the international scene to become world champion. Today, the keirin king held the reputation as world champ.
Then, Ahmad Shabery challenge the national football team to win gold medal at the 2009 SEA Games, and it was well-delivered by K. Rajagobal boys who received '100Plus Outdo Yourself Awards' during the SAM-100Plus Sports Awards on Saturday.
Next is the badminton team. Are they going to fulfill Ahmad Shabery's wish? Shame if they fail to deliver.

Aku bangga menjadi ahli SAM

Good start
MAYBE its still not too late to say Happy New Year, Happy Chinese New Year to all Malaysian. or in other word, SALAM 1MALAYSIA.
Well, i've been a little bit buzy for the past month...and do not have much time to 'entertain' and to update PulutMalaya.
2010 seems to be a good start for Malaysian sports. The year kicked off with a golden achievement by national athletes. It started with cyclist, Mohd. Azizulhasni Awang who lived up to his expectation after being crowned world champion at the World Track GP finals in Beijing. It was really really a great achievement by the 'Kampung Boy' from Terengganu. He ruled the world.
Then, it was Datuk Lee Chong Wei's turn to lift Malaysia's reputation at the world sporting map. He produced an otustanding performance at the Malaysian Open championship. No one can stop him before he wrapped up his campaign with the title.
Well, I really hope to see more outstanding achievement by the national athletes till to the end of the year. It's time to go for glory instead of 'politicking' to destroy the association. (I hope MAAU learned to stop all the useless dramas from now on...).
Its also nice to hear that our young Harimau Muda football team will be exposed in Slovakia. A good move actually by Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) if they want to see Malaysian football moves forward to a greater height. If not now, when?
But, such kind of exposure should not stop there. There should be more programmes for the team once they complete their stint in Slovakia. I think FAM should know better. And they should learned from previous programmes which do not produced any results...go for success and then, funding will be much easier to find once the team started to produce result at international scene. Well, FAM don't give up hopes.
Some 'blunder' which caught my attention is the Malaysia Games (Sukma) in Melaka. I strongly feel that the event will not get much publicity from the media because it clash with the World Cup 2010 in South Africa.
Melaka set the date without taking into consideration of the World Cup...(maybe that because of school holiday as most athlete competes at Sukma are students)...
The games in Melaka will be out of the picture as the whole world will focused their attention to the World Cup.
The only way for Melaka to get better publicity on the event is to spent more money and buy pages from the local media to ensure Sukma gets fair coverage.
Well, Datuk Ali Rustam, do you have budget for that purpose?

Golden finish
WOW....golden finished by the Malaysian Under 23 football team in Laos. The squad under the command of coach, K.Rajagobal won gold at the 25th SEA Games after defeating Vietnam 1-0 in the final.
Great job boys and should keep it up in our efforts to bring glory to Malaysian football. Malaysia have been waiting for 20 years to win gold at the SEA Games and on Thursday (18 Dec), it was delivered in a fantastic manner.
This is not the end of the road, there's still along way to go. We already did it at the SEA Games and next should be at Asian level....then Olympic...and then think of stepping into the World Cup. And to FAM, please beef up development programmes from as early as 12 years old...Our Under 23 team has been together for quite sometimes and only now they produced result. There should be more international exposures for the team after this and don't just keep them at home. I think, international exposures gone through by the Under 23 team throughout 2009 help them to excel. They displayed confidence and look a bit more matured with their game.
I can say that this is the best achievement (though SEA Games I considered as lower class event compared to Asian Cup) by our national football team. They outplayed two South East Asian giants in Laos - Vietnam and Thailand.
I also have the feeling that, incentives announced by FAM earlier before the final, boosted the spirit of the players (I hope i'm wrong). If incentives works.....and boosted the morale of the players, so why not do it as long as Malaysian football achieve success. Sometimes cash incentives help...hahahaha...( just like civil servants when they cashed out their yearly bonus from the goverment, and their productivity increased.....is it right?)
Anyway....congratulation to the Malaysian Under 23 football team who really done a great job to win the 20 years wait gold medal. Strive harder boys....and should look forward at Asian level after this. The last time we achieved victory at Asian level was way back in 1960s which saw our national team won bronze in Tehran, Iran.

'Year-end holiday in Vientiane'
YESTERDAY, Malaysia's Sports Minister Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek voiced out his anger at certain Malaysian sports officials at Laos SEA Games. He launched a warning - " This is not a place for holiday."
Officials appointed as team managers had their task and their trip to Laos were fully taken care by the goverment and that's what he had to say when he found out there were officials reported to sneak out from their duties. Some managers were found 'playing around' without taking full responsibilities of their athletes needs.
Well Datuk....this is not a new story with Malaysia contingent. Same old stories actually. To avoid this in future - get the right people to get things done. No room anymore please for these kind of officials. Get the warning implemented. No point talking with out any action.
